Success Stories
Standard Network Bridge between TCP/IP and CAN
USDI developed software for a Standard Network Bridge between TCP/IP and CAN that was presented at the SAE show in Detroit, MI.
J2534 Aftermarket Pass-through Reprogramming
Our consultants are developing a multi-platform software solution to reprogram vehicles using the government mandated SAE J2534 protocol. The solution consists of a script driven "engine" and a collection of ECU specific scripts.
Diagnostic and Setup Application
USDI consultants are developing a .NET based PC application to setup and query an ECU using CAN and KWP2000. The application is customizable, allowing the OEM to tailor the application to each end customer.
Communications and Diagnostics Support
USDI consultants were able to add CAN, KWP2000, J1850 and J2190 support to an ECU in six weeks, allowing our customer to meet their delivery schedule. This included drivers for the HC12 based board as well as protocol and transportation layers.
Hands-free Phone Module
USDI consultants wrote QNX based CAN drivers, protocol and transport layers for a QNX based hands-free phone module that allowed the module to interface with the rest of the system. Our consultants also developed a Vector CANoe simulation to allow the module to be tested before the other components were available, thus ensuring a successful delivery.
RS232 to GPIB Converter Box
USDI developed custom hardware to interface an off-the-shelf single board computer to GPIB. We also wrote the drivers and the application software. The converter is used to interface legacy point of sale systems to new peripherals. The client saved money by not having to replace their existing POS system.
