Is this a contract position?

Many of the positions we offer are Resident Engineering assignments at our customers’ sites. You will be a USDI employee with full USDI benefits with no interruption in pay or benefits between project assignments. The duration of these projects can vary in length, but overall your employment would remain continuous.

How long is the typical Resident Engineer assignment?

Our longest running Resident Engineer has worked with USDI for over 20 years. We start with you and your goals. If you prefer to work in various businesses to experience numerous settings, that can be arranged. If you prefer a longer assignment, we match you with a company that has a need for a long-term engineer.

For the interview, will I meet with USDI or the Corporate Hiring Manager?

The first interview will be with USDI. The next step is to meet with the Corporate Hiring Manager.

Will I be considered for multiple positions?

Due to the long standing relationships we have with so many world class companies; you can rest assured you will be presented with the most exciting technical opportunities, leading the way in today’s innovative and fast paced industry. When we present you to the technical hiring team they will focus on your career experience, goals, and aspirations. From there, we will discuss with you the most viable opportunities that align with your requirements.

Is USDI a Staffing Agency or Temp Agency?

We are neither. Our technical specialists are provided career opportunities that can span multiple engagements at multiple customer sites. We provide engineering talent to our corporate customers.
